The idea came to me during a workout class, watching the woman in front of me struggle to control her hair with what felt like 50 bobby pins… while mine wasn’t cooperating either. On the drive home, it clicked: a headband with clips that would actually stay in place—without pulling, pinching, or damaging hair.

I dusted off a sewing machine I hadn’t touched since eighth-grade Home Ec, turned to YouTube to teach me to sew again and started making prototypes. After countless mistakes, SWAY became a patented, non-slip headband system designed to work with your hair—no slipping, no headaches, just effortless confidence and fabulous fuss-free hair.

Today, SWAY is proudly made in rural Colorado, where I employ women of all ages on flexible schedules they choose. From moms to multi-taskers to women building their next chapter, SWAY was created to support women—in how they look, how they live, and how they work.

SWAY stands for She Will Amaze You—and that’s not just a name, it’s a belief system. At SWAY, we believe women are extraordinary. We have always been capable of accomplishing truly great things, and we’ve proven it time and time again—in business, leadership, creativity, and our communities. And somehow, we do all of this while managing kids, homes, friendships, careers, relationships, and the hundreds of unseen responsibilities life places on our shoulders every single day. Women don’t rise by doing one thing at a time—we rise while doing everything at the same time. SWAY exists to support that reality: to remove small frustrations, save precious time, and make everyday life a little easier, so women can keep showing up as the powerful, capable forces they already are—and look amazing while doing it.

Women empowerment is at the core of everything we do because when women support women, magic happens. Collaboration replaces competition, confidence grows louder, and entire communities rise. I believe deeply that when women cheer each other on, share opportunities, and lift one another up, there is no limit to what we can build together. SWAY is a celebration of that collective strength—a reminder that we are stronger, smarter, and more unstoppable when we stand together.

At SWAY, pink represents power, confidence, ambition, and unapologetic femininity. It’s bold. It’s fearless. It’s strong. Just like the women who wear it. We believe femininity and strength are not opposites—they’re a power combo. SWAY is here to prove that you can be functional, fashionable, fierce, and fully yourself all at once.

This Crazy Little Life of Mine

Coming home to the small town I grew up in—after living all over the country and traveling the world—has been both grounding and deeply meaningful. I still love the energy, creativity, and inspiration that cities bring, but there’s something powerful about returning to a place where people know your name, neighbors show up for one another, and life moves at a pace that leaves room to breathe. Small-town life has a way of reminding you what really matters, and for me, it’s the perfect balance of ambition and appreciation—big dreams rooted in a strong sense of home.

I live on a fourth-generation family ranch in small-town Colorado, where SWAY headbands are proudly made on Main Street. Out here, life is a little slower and a lot more intentional. I share it with my old dog, Spike; one formerly feral cat who now lives like royalty on a Tempur-Pedic bed, Dave; and three Longhorns—Patches, Sunny, and Cher—who eat out of my hand and will live out their days growing old peacefully, exactly where they belong. It’s a hands-in-the-dirt kind of life that keeps me centered, grateful, and deeply connected to what matters most.

Being back home also gave me the opportunity to do something I care deeply about: creating flexible, meaningful jobs for women in a place traditionally known only for agriculture. I’ve loved building a business that allows women to take care of their families, their responsibilities, and themselves—without having to choose one over the other. Out where cattle outnumber humans, I was excited by the challenge of creating a whole new industry, one rooted in empowerment, craftsmanship, and community. SWAY is proof that big ideas don’t have to come from big cities—and that sometimes, the most powerful things are built right where you started.
